University Services launched

The first months for University Services will be a transition period. Users of the services are asked to be patient.

University Services is officially launching today, but there is still much to prepare and organise in May and June.

“Right now we are working on the on-site services teams so that we can let units know whom to turn to in early May. We have also started to plan the associated changes to the need for office space,” explains Antti Savolainen, Director of Administrative Services.

The first months for University Services will be a transition period, as many staff members are attending to their previous duties along with their new positions.  The division of labour among staff will be specified during May and June.

As the number of administrative staff has been cut, this means that during the transition period, there will be more work and fewer people to whom it can be assigned.

“We request patience from our clients during the early months and hope that they understand that we will not be able to answer all of their questions immediately.  I’m sure University Services staff will do their best to make things run as smoothly as possible even during the transition stage,” Savolainen states.

In early May, the Flamma page for University Services will be launched, featuring the composition and contact details of all on-site service teams.
