The University of Helsinki’s new international Master’s programmes will launch in Autumn 2017, and the application period for these programmes will begin in early December 2016. At the same time, tuition fees will be introduced for students coming from outside the EU and the EEA.

The Department of Computer Science is responsible for two master's degree programmes: Master's Programme in Computer Science and Master's Programme in Data Science. The programme in data science is a new multi-disciplinary programme. The students of this programme can study computer science and statistics, but also data science methods used, for example, in bio-sciences, physics, and meteorology. In addition to coordinating these two programmes, the Department of Computer Science participates in the Master's Programme in Theoretical and Computational Methods, and the Master's Programme in Life Science Informatics.
