This playful but athletic competition will promote the wellbeing of both University of Helsinki staff and the environment! You can join your campus team no matter if you are a Sunday cyclist or a competitive speed biker.
Instructions:
Participation is easy. You can join one of the four University of Helsinki campus teams depending on your work location. The names of the teams are Helsingin yliopisto Viikin kampus, Helsingin yliopisto keskustakampus, Helsingin yliopisto Kumpulan kampus and Helsingin yliopisto Meilahden kampus. Register on the Kilometrikisa website (in Finnish) by entering your personal information or if you have registered already earlierhttp://www.kilometrikisa.fi/teams/join/
Your participation code will be either Viikki2016, Meilahti2016, Kumpula2016 or Keskusta2016.
You will collect kilometres from both your commute and any leisure biking. Mark down the kilometres accurately and honestly to make sure the race is exciting!
Please remember to consider others on the road while you bike, and follow the rules of the road. Remember your gear, such as a helmet, and sufficient lights when biking in low-light conditions or at night.
All participants in the bike-a-thon will be included in a raffle featuring UniSport and Amer Cultural Foundation prizes each month. The winner of the competition is the campus who has the most kilometers in relation to number of personnel in that campus in September.
