This week your task is to experiment with case-based reasoning classifier. You can either use the applet or the application, and the casebases provided on the page. The application has been tested in the department Linux system and it works.
In your experiments, you can adjust
Run a number of experiments with different parameter values and casebases, and write a short document in which you explain your experimental settings, and report the results. In addition to written analysis of your observations of the system's behavior, you can plot some graphs to illustrate for instance, the how the accuracy changes as a function of K or the feature weights for each casebase.
Pay special attention to how you design your experiments: instead of just randomly testing the system with different values, try to come up with hypotheses about how changes in various parameter values may affect the system's behavior, and then device experiments to test your hypotheses. It is not a number of tests you run that counts, but how ingenious your hypotheses and the tests you design are.
