Kuje Research Group perfomed a brief usability test on the new Lyyra Kampus Beta service. Testing methodologies consisted mostly of random clicking throughout the Lyyra website. We did not perfom any planned testing with use cases, however, we found some shortcomings which will affect the basic workflow of users.
In addition we created this problem report webpage which should help Lyyra developers to fix the problems before the first final version is published.

Unexpected default option with a very long list of choices.
If you arrive at Lyyra at any other page than the index, you don't have the login panel. Login panel is only available in the front page.
If your browser language is set to english, Lyyra uses english as the default language.
Timezone defaults to "Pacific Time (US & Canada)" although language defaults to Finnish.
Helsinki timezone is named in a clumsy way, it can't be found with hotkey "h" or "f" since it is under "Athens".
Captcha asks a wrong question.
If you screw up, you must fill everything again.
Development error messages should not be visible for users. This should be changed before public release.
Does not work.
I know my friend's real name and not the user account. How do I find him? And how will this list act when there are 100+ users?
Why is not the realname shown as it seemed to be a required field in the registration?
I don't understand the "recommend user" action.
I don't understand the "account type" selection. And I don't understand the "refill you profile information" notification either.
How do I search for a user? Also the red X looks like an error indicator.
I will never have energy to read these through unless they are categorized somehow.
I got the user home page after registration, but I don't know how to find it again without knowing the direct url.
Only the text part of the banner is clickable, not the image nor the heading. The same problem affects most of the other banners also.
"Ajankohtaista" feed must be manually reloaded and timestamps are static (they get staled instantly).
RSS logo is used without any link, it looks clickable and I would expect to get RSS-feed OR information about feeds.
RSS of the benefits feed is uninformative since only header is available.
I have registered with a user account but the login window wants my email address. It does not, however, tell me that.
As we've learned from the vectorization of the longcat, the longness of a longcat is looong.
