The Oulu Airport is located in Oulunsalo, about 15 kilometres south-west of Oulu city centre and
VTT is located in Linnanmaa (Street address: Kaitoväylä 1), about 8 kilometres north-west from the
city centre. Getting from the airport to VTT is best accomplished by either taxi (~25min) or bus(~50min).
How to get from the airport to VTT:
There is a taxi pole in front of the airport building. The fee from airport to VTT is around ~35 euros.
Usually there are enough taxis, but it also possible to pre-book a taxi by calling to +358 600 30081
(this is adviced especially if you arrive very late with luggage).
There is also a regular local bus service - route no. 19. A single fare from the airport to VTT costs
approx.. 6 euros. The bus drivers are helpful in pointing out the correct stop. You can use the web service Linjakas to

The main entrance of the Exactum building is located in the small quadrangle between the Physicum and Exactum buildings (and is best reached via pedestrian street starting from Pietari Kalmin katu, or by first taking the main entrance of the Physicum building at Gustaf Hällströmin katu and then walking through the Physicum lobby).
Arriving by car: there is unfortunately only a limited amount of parking space available along the streets of the Kumpula campus
