My research is in the field of computer graphics, and specifically focuses on performance issues. Typically most of the computational resources are spent on something that does not contribute to the final image. This is the case in all but the simplest 3D visualizations, both inside graphics hardware and on the application level. I am trying to find algorithms and architectures that alleviate this problem to the extent possible. My research will primarily focus on techniques that leave the final image intact while using less computational resources for the rendering process. |
