I have experienced similar issues with 2.4.0 and its test. I have a bttv848=
chipset.
I even tried compiling in kdb as a part of the kernel to see if it oopses, =
but no luck.

I will try trying 0.7.47 today.

this works on 2.2.16, last time i tried.
