Linux-kernel is the wrong place to post that sort of question.  This is a 
kernel development list, not a linux help list.  I will say, however, that 
slackware 8.0 is a totally innapropriate distribution for someone with your 
level of linux knowledge.  Try RedHat or Mandrake instead.
