Control + Shift causes strange behavior in 2.4.8 & 2.4.7

When I hit both control keys _and_ both shift keys
simultaneously (you have to kind of hit them rapidly a
bunch of times) ONLY on my Microsoft natural keyboard,
the system hangs or prints various debug messages;
sometimes it locks up; the scroll lock comes on.
Sometimes it releases, other times it locks and
requries a power cycle. It does this in the console
and X-windows. This is on a Microsoft PS/2 ergonomic
keyboard, on an Intel SE440BX motherbaord. It does
not happen when I plug in a compaq USB keyboard, or
with another PS/2 keyboard. The kernel is compiled
with GCC 2.95.3.
