[1.] One line summary of the problem:
2.4.12: IEEE1284_PH_DIR_UNKNOWN undeclared in ./drivers/parport/ieee1284_ops.c

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:

When I run
make modules
I get:

======================================
The ieee1284_ops.c wants IEEE1284_PH_DIR_UNKNOWN but
/usr/include/local/parport.h has IEEE1284_PH_ECP_DIR_UNKNOWN

I changed IEEE1284_PH_DIR_UNKNOWN -> IEEE1284_PH_ECP_DIR_UNKNOWN
on lines 365 and 367, and it compiled, but I am not sure if it fixes it.
