Starting with 2.4.19-pre3 (and continuing for -pre4 and every post-pre2 ac
kernel I've tried) bootup hangs during partition detection:

2.4.19-pre2 output:

The pre-3 output stops right after:

Partition check:
hda: hda1 hda2 < hda5 > hda3 hda4
hde:

Ie, it never detects any partitions on hde. The motherboard is an
A7V266-E asus motherboard.

Suggestions? I started looking through the changes between pre2 and pre3,
but the ide subsystem got overhauled reasonably thoroughly in pre3.

Thanks,
Brad
