Hi

I tried to compile mozilla and the compilation stopped after maybe half an
hour at a compiler internal error. It was compiling c++ code using gcc 3.1
so I thought it was gcc's fault, decided to rm the mozilla tree but rm
segfaulted and I got the oops below. Processes stuck when I tried to do
something in my shells and then I rebooted. ext3 replayed its journals and
the system seemed ok. I fscked the file systems but didn't find any
problems. I just ran memtest for a couple of hours and it didn't find any
problems in the memory.

Kernel 2.4.19-rc1 compiled with gcc 2.95.3, CONFIG_MK7=y. It's a 1400 MHz
athlon thunderbird, VIA KT266 chipset, 512MB DDR RAM, Seagate ide ST360021A
using ext3, display card ATI Rage XL AGP (Mach64), eepro100. It's the first
oops or other problem for this box, in use from last october. On the other
hand, it's been rather warm here these days. Could this be caused by overheat?

ksymoops 2.4.5 on i686 2.4.19-rc1. Options used
-V (default)
-k /proc/ksyms (default)
-l /proc/modules (default)
-o /lib/modules/2.4.19-rc1/ (default)
-m /usr/src/linux/System.map (default)

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.
