APIC Error, AMD 1800XP, VIAKT333, UP

When I enable the APIC on in my bios (this is an ABIT KX7-333), i get

APIC Error CPU0: 02(02)

here's a syslog excerpt (sorry, don't have a /var/log/dmesg from an
APIC-enabled boot.
