Re: More VIA chipset fun?

Mart,

I have the same issue, although I also get them while browsing.
Always within 10 minutes after bootup, after a reset everything is ok
(most of the time.

I also noticed that removing cards delays the effect. I removed my cs4261
based soundcard and switched to the onboard sound. But still experience
the problems.

There was a patch in 2.4.20-pre1 and 2.4.19-jp14 for the amd agp cache
corruption but that didn't work for me, did you test it as well?

My system setup is
Athlon 1700XP
Epox 8kta3 (=KT133A chipset)
Onboard sound/Terratec DMX Xfire 1024 (CS4261 chipset)
Intel eepro 100 NIC
Adaptec 2940u2w card
Lite-on ide writer
Asus cdrom
512MB memory
Nvida GF4400 ti

I also tested on a radeon 7200 but the same effects occur.

I don't know why this is happening and as the system completely freezes
there is nothing I can do about it to debug it.

Regards,

Tommy
