[PATCH] minor scsi cleanup in 2.4.x

Attached is a patch (based off of 2.4.19) which removes 2 unnecessary
externs and adds a new scsi device type string. The externs are unnecessary
since the array is declared extern in scsi.h. The string change is
consistent with the SCSI-3 standard.
