2.0.32 freezes.

Hello,

For the 4th time now since installing 2.0.32 (about two weeks ago), our
main server has experienced a total freeze. These freezes are very much
like an SMP deadlock.

The system is a clean 2.0.32 SMP kernel running on a dual PPro 200Mhz
system w/ 192MB ram, 1 IDE boot drive with Triton DMA enabled (I've tried it
disabled, no difference), 3 SCSI disks on one ncr53c810 and 7 CD-ROMs on a
second ncr53c810, 2 8 port cyclades 8Yo serial port boards, a DEC tulip
ethernet card @ 100Mbps and a S3virge/DX video board.

There is no oops, there may or may not be a hard drive light on (one time
out of three that I've been there to reset the machine the hard drive light
was on), the screen is blanked and hitting the caps lock key doesn't light
up the caps lock light, so it doesn't look like there is anybody home.

The server runs shell/ppp/web accounts with appletalk, samba and IPX.
Typical daemons for those services are, to my knowledge, all the latest
available.

Lockups occur about once every two days. Memory does not seem to be
leaking -- no swap is being used. Heavy file activity between scsi and IDE
doesn't seem to lock it up either.

On the plus side, my filesystems are in tip-top shape. =)
