Hi People,

I got this answer back from a Gravis employee. I do not know if
sending tons of email to the address he mentions is really a good idea,
but oh well, he suggests it. If anybody knows a reson to AVSOLUTELY not
do this, please reply, but I thought it would be usefull to get the
source codes of Gravis Ultrasound utilities available.

Greetings,
Fred Leeflang

>Hi,

I saw the announcement on your website regarding discontinuing soundcard
support. I was just curious if Gravis would be willing to put the source
code of Gravis specific utilities in the public domain so the Linux
community can benefit from that. I think you guys make cool soundcards,
sorry to hear you're going out of that business.

Friendly Regards,
Fred Leeflang

Gravis will not release any new drivers for the UltraSound soundcards
anymore.

Get as much people as you can to E-Mail to the Customer Service
CUSTSERV@GRAVIS.COM with a request to release the sourcecodes of
the UltraSound Soundcards so that other people around the world
will have the possibility to develop drivers for the new platforms.

Do not send this request to SOUND@GRAVIS.COM or
GRAVIS_EUROPE@COMPUSERVE.COM because that's me and I have already
tried to get the sourcecodes released and I failed :-(

Kind regards,

Edu Oskam
