Recently I installed the SCO OpenServer 5.0.4 on a second disk drive
(don't ask me why). To minimize the pain of using this "user-friendly"
OS I tried to mount it's partition from Linux, but it doesn't seem to
work. I cannot do it neither in 2.0.29/30 nor in 2.0.32.
Here is the situation. Unlike Linux, SCO runs from primary disk only,
so I basically moved my Linux disk to a secondary IDE controller (hdc)
and yanked in another one for SCO (as a primary one) (hda). This disk
is fully devoted to SCO. Here is the divvy output:
==================================================================

Linux, in turn, sees the following picture:

Partition check:

==================================================================
Linux fdisk reports the following partition info on hda:
==================================================================
# /sbin/fdisk /dev/hda
Command (m for help): p
Disk /dev/hda: 32 heads, 63 sectors, 512 cylinders

Command (m for help): q

==================================================================
So, this is the setup. Now I'm trying to mount /dev/hda4 as a sysv
filesystem:
==================================================================
# mount -t sysv /dev/hda4 /mnt/sco/
VFS: unable to read Xenix/SystemV/Coherent superblock on device 03:04
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda4,
or too many mounted file systems
# mount -t sysv /dev/hda /mnt/sco/
VFS: unable to read Xenix/SystemV/Coherent superblock on device 03:00
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda,
or too many mounted file systems
==================================================================
Needless to say, the sysv filesystem is compiled in the kernel (as a
module). I even try to compile it in not as a module - no change.
Thanks in advance,
Finally, here is an output of my sysinfo script, used to print the
basic Linux and hardware configuration:
