2.1.70 - ifconfig says "modprobe: can't locate module"

If I run `ifconfig` in 2.1.70 my xconsole say me: modprobe: "can't locate
module" as I run `ifconfig foo` and foo is a not present module.

I am only reporting the fact, maybe this is the right feature.
