FYI:

The patch for the Adaptec driver aic7xxx-Nov05 found on

http://linux.dialnet.net/LMP/additional.shtml

helps escaping from the endless reset loops, which occurs when a faulty device
must be reseted and a write on the root drive hangs in the scsi queue. Without
this patch the machine hangs spitting out endless SCSI resets.

So from my point of view it's a 2.0.33 candidate.
