Amazing! I tried to modularize IPC months ago and the basic approach and
implementation is so similar to my solution. Do you have access to my
Linux box? :)

You can use dosemu to test IPC shared memory at least. In my company we
use SYSV IPC for our own middleware solution and have lots of test
programs.

I'll have a closer look to your patch tonight/this weekend and do some
tests.
