Does a Trident 4DWave DX works with 2.3.38

Hi there,
A friend gave me a Trident 4DWave DX card and i saw that this card is
supported by the kernel but all i got is:
13:12:21 ~> modprobe trident
trident: unable to allocate irq 0
/lib/modules/2.3.38/misc/trident.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
/lib/modules/2.3.38/misc/trident.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.3.38/misc/trident.o fa
/lib/modules/2.3.38/misc/trident.o: insmod trident failed
and no sound at all.
Does someone have this card working??
