As you all know, CVS has it's limitations for large-scale efforts. I've =
finally hit tilt and I'm ready to bite off building a replacement. I =
know that a long discussion about this occurred in the linux-kernel =
mailing list some time ago, and I'ld appreciate the benefit of your =
thoughts, requirements, and participation in the new discussion to make =
sure that whatever we build meets the needs of the linux kernel =
contributors.

We've formed a mailing list: dcms-dev@eros-os.org. You can subscribe by =
sending mail to majordomo@eros-os.org with the line

subscribe dcms-dev me@my-domain

If you know something about this, *please* do join the discussion there =
-- at least long enough to see if it is helpful. If I'm going to go the =
effort to build this thing, I'ld like it to be useful to all of you as =
well.

Also, if the outcome of the linux-kernel discussion was ever summarized, =
could someone send a pointer (URL if possible) to the summary to ME, and =
I will forward it to the dcms-dev list (send to me to avoid duplicates).

Thanks

Jonathan Shapiro
