Hi,
I am trying to exploit the floating-point vector operations of Intel Pentium
III. "as" has support for the corresponding machine instructions, but I
keep getting SIGILL when trying "movups". (Yes, I checked for SIMD support
via "cpuid"). Does Linux save the xmm* registers during
context switches, set the proper flags in CR0/CR4 and so on ? Is somebody
working on these matters ?
