shouldn't this be
ftp://www.scyld.com/pub/network/winbond-840.c ?

besides, I can't get this new version to compile under a 2.2.1[45]
kernel:
winbond-840.c:132: pci-scan.h: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
winbond-840.c:133: kern_compat.h: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
(means "no such file or directory")

So it seems these includes are new in 2.[34].x?

BTW, i think although it perhaps has some oddities, this chip is
a bit interesting, as it is used on some quite cheap 5-port switch
cards, IMHO very interesting for the 100BaseT at home... :-)
