Greetings,

I think something is wrong with the net/dummy module :
(checked with 2.2.14, .15 and .16)

1) ifconfig dummy0 xx.xx.xx.xx

ok, dummy0 is up and running

2) check with ping and route, everything ok

3) ifconfig dummy0 down

4) do ping again... surprise, dummy0 still responding

5) rmmod dummy0
ok, not responding anymore

Is there some special options with ifconfig and dummy,
or is this a bug in net/dummy module ?

I had a quick look and it seems that ifconfig dummy0 down
*does* close the interface, but i don't know enough to
find what went wrong, if that's the case...

Best regards,
