PROBLEM: Kernel 2.4 test2 crashes on compiling

[1.] Kernel 2.4 test2 crashes on compiling
[2.] Kernel 2.4 test2 crsahes when I try to compile the kernel under it.
I run make-kpkg binary and the compter stops reading files from hard
drive,
while window manager still works and on console it writes: "hdc: lost
interrupt".
