No, it's not an IDE cable. Recall the really old sbpcd driver? The
cables that the old SoundBlaster 1x and 2x CDROMs driven by that driver
were just like that (same 40 pin connector) and supported up to 4 drives
on a cable. If you put 4 IDE drives on it, you're apt to fry them.
