Summarizing...

So far this is what it sounds like are the options for
setting up the list, and the possible tasks for people.

List setup options
1. Chris Adams (volunteered to create list.)
2. vger.rutgers.edu list is out., unless we take
linux-doc
3. Maybe ask Atipa linux solutions for some resources.
4. SourceForge CVS rep. and mailing lists.

The above are not in any particular order. I know a few people
at Atipa who I might be to talk to if that is the decided route,
but either way there appears to be enough problem with creating
the list.

Possible Tasks:

1. Beef up documentation in linux/Documentation making
it more clear and verbose. (Plain text) (using possibly
using Garst's du &> kerneldu as an outline)
2. Create an Linux Device Driver manual that can be
easily updateable. (SGML/Docbook)

Did I miss anything and is anything incorrect?

Alan, for this device driver book, is this supposed to be along
the lines of the ORA Device Driver book?

I'm one of the people who has been talking with Andre about this,
and I am attempting to keep a list of the possible tasks, so that
we will have some idea of where to start if this gets off the
ground. If this didn't end up being something that goes long
term, it does have the opportunity to perhaps fulfill a need
that exists currently for the short term. (more/better documentation)
