I noticed after I sent the plea that one of the disks was running at
FAST-20 under 2.2.16 and only FAST-10 under 2.2.14. Sure 'nuff, I
configured 2.2.14 and 2.2.16 differently. I wonder if the faster
clock running around the SCSI bus is just more then that (or the
phasewriter, or the cabling) can handle.
The broken Tru65 compat under 2.2.16 has convinced me to hold off for
2.2.17 before trying again.
