I've tried to connect a IBM-DJNA-371800 Hard disk to my BP6 (HPT366
controller, of course), and it works fine, but with some performance
issue. I've tested it under 2.4.0-test1-ac20, so I don't know if
latest kernels have changed something. When the drive is connected to
normal (33) ide controller, hdparm -t reports about 17 MB/sec;
connected to hpt366 controller, I get about 6-7 MB/sec;
I don't know if a simple hdparm probe can test well the ide devices, but
these are my numbers...
