I had these messages after only running the system for a few hours,
and I always thought the 2.2 series are well-tested (I mean _before_
release). So 2.2.15 already was severly broken (see
http://www.sendmail.org), now 2.2.16 is also broken. The solution
can't be to recommend any pre* patch.

Seriously I think 1.3MB (compressed) patches for a stable kernel are
too large. Also I (not reading this list) see no motivation for the
change. 2.2.14 seemed to that bad though, and both 2.2.15 and 2.2.16
missed an important updated for AIC7xxx "domain validation".
