fs loopback dead-lock-up

I've been getting machine lockups which I associate with mounted -o loop
with kernel 2.3.last-6-months and 2.4.0-test1.

iso9660 -on- ext2 -on- ide (SiS-5513)
ext2 -on- vfat -on- ide (Intel-82371)

Does anyone else get this problem? (cc: off-list)
