I had a VP2/97 which always hung the machine eventually, when PCI DMA
was enabled. However with hdparm -X34 -d1, it was reliable. Is that
handled in the chipset tuning?

I mention this because x < 3.

This is a typo in the list; it should be "x < 3". My fault, I screwed
up while converting the list to HTML format.
