Department's research group Nodes is building a private cloud configuration in Ukko Cluster. This requires allocation of 48 nodes (3 blade enclosures) to the private cloud. Ukko nodes 209-240 have now been marked reserved to this project. They are still in public use, but will be shutdown for reinstallation wednesday 17.10 at 15.00. Prior allocations of the same nodes will still continue or will be changed to other hosts after contacting the allocator.
At some point in the future virtual machines can be allocated from the new private cloud for research and study purposes.
Nodes 145-160 will return to public use after they have been reinstalled with newer cubbli 12.04 based Linux. Other nodes will updated to the same cubbli installation later.
