To prevent misuse of the mail server of the Department of Computer Science we have to introduce some minor limitations, which should not, however, affect the normal use of e-mail.
Starting today, Nov 24 2015, the domain names which can be used in the local e-mail sender's address (From: address) are restricted. Allowed domain names include:
- all local domains (cs.helsinki.fi and its subdomains)
- all domains hosted by mail.cs.helsinki.fi (hiit-cs.fi etc.)
- tko-aly.fi and iki.fi
- helsinki.fi (use of helsinki.fi as sender's domain at cs.helsinki.fi is discouraged)
For justifiable reasons, authorized domains can be added. We will not add domains which protect themselves with DMARC, DKIM, Sender ID, or SPF.
