Apply now to Facebook’s Open Academy Program with Software Factory

Starting in the beginning of 2014, the Software Factory will participate in Facebook's Open Academy Program, a large-scale open source software development collaboration with close to 20 open source projects and more than a dozen universities worldwide. Students at the Department of Computer Science get 10-12 credit points for the initial phase of the project.

You can apply now to be part of the program! For more information, see:
http://www.softwarefactory.cc/2013/11/25/facebook-open-academy-2014/

NOTE: APPLICATION DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 1, 2013! THE APPLICATION DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 8, 2013!

You could be working on software platforms that power many important internet services and applications. In 2013, 8 students from our department participated in the program, and had a unique experience. Like then, this project includes direct mentoring by top open source project experts and a visit to Facebook's headquarters in California, USA.

We are looking for students who have at least a basic level of programming skills, and who are eager to learn about modern programming technology in open and distributed development environments. Note that there is an opportunity to continue the project for an extended period of time to deepen your skills.
