[1.] One line summary of the problem:
[drm:radeon_cp_indirect] *ERROR* process 217 using buffer owned by 0

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:
The above mentioned error message appears (few times) in the kernel logs
whenever XFree86 is restarted. This ONLY happens when I have 'agpgart'
support compiled in the kernel. Having 'agpgart' support for the AMD chipset
greatly improves the quality/performance of Tuxracer game :-)

[3.] Keywords (i.e., modules, networking, kernel):
The following options are used for compiling the kernel:
CONFIG_AGP=y
CONFIG_AGP_AMD=y
CONFIG_DRM=y
CONFIG_DRM_NEW=y
CONFIG_DRM_RADEON=y

[4.] Kernel version (from /proc/version):
Linux version 2.4.19-rc3aa3 (hari@debian) (gcc version 2.95.4 20011002
(Debian prerelease)) #1 Mon Jul 29 21:27:57 EST 2002

(The same problem is reproduceable in 2.4.18 and 2.4.19-rc3, hence it isn't
specific to -aa IMHO)

[5.] Output of Oops.. message (if applicable) with symbolic information
resolved (see Documentation/oops-tracing.txt)
None

[6.] A small shell script or example program which triggers the
problem (if possible)
None

[7.] Environment
[7.1.] Software (add the output of the ver_linux script here)

[7.6.] SCSI information (from /proc/scsi/scsi)

[7.7.] Other information that might be relevant to the problem
(please look in /proc and include all information that you
think to be relevant):
None

[X.] Other notes, patches, fixes, workarounds:
Using: XFree86 4.1.0 (as in Debian Woody 3.0 r0)
Using Driver "radeon", under "Device" section in XF86Config-4 file.

I initially thought I will post it to dri/xfree86 mailing lists, since it
happens only if I have 'agpgart' support in the kernel, I begin to think
kernel mailing list may be the appropriate forum. Please correct me if I am
wrong.

BTW the process id printed in the error message is of X (the new one, not the
one that just exited). The system continue to work fine even after the error
messages.

Thanks in advance
Hari
