There's a new seminar on Summer 2011: Seminar on Algorithms and Machine Learning

Preliminary schedule:
- first meeting Monday 16 May 16:15-18:00 C220
- first version of written paper due Monday 30 May
- final version of written paper due Monday 13 June
- oral presentations Friday 17 June 10.15-18 C220
In this preliminary plan, all the oral presentations have been
collected into one full day, but this can be changed depending on
the preferences of the participants.  We will discuss this in the
first meeting.  In the first meeting we will also set up a schedule
for students to get feedback for their written work.

Note:
If you are interested in attending the seminar, please send as soon as
possible an e-mail to the instructor (Jyrki.Kivinen@cs.helsinki.fi) describing very briefly your
background (mainly what advanced courses in algorithms and machine
learning you have taken, and possibly other relevant courses such as
mathematics).  We do not anticipate any need to restrict attendance,
but since this is a new format for a seminar, getting advance
information on the students will help the planning.
