This course gives an introduction to MSc studies at the department of Computer Science. The course will cover at least the following topics: requirements for a MSc degree in Computer Science, teaching and learning methods used at the department, the departmental computing environment, as well as scientific writing and computer science ethics.

General
This course is an orientation course to Master's degree studies in computer science. It is a compulsory course for all those students that have NOT done their Bachelor's degree at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Helsinki.
Completing the course
The course is completed by participating actively in different sessions of the course and by making the exercises given in those sessions. There is no exam on this course.
