The following representatives were elected to the University Board in the election of 4–5 November 2013:

Group of professors: Kimmo Kontula (Faculty of Medicine), Ilkka Hanski (Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences) and Markku Leskelä (Faculty of Sciences).

Group of other teaching and research staff as well as other staff: Ragna Rönnholm (Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences) and Kirsi Rauhala (Faculty of Medicine).

In addition, the University of Helsinki Student Union has elected Jannica Aalto, BSc, and Jussi Nuortimo, student of social sciences, as the student members of the Board.

Voting for staff group representatives ended on Tuesday, 5 November 2013 at 18.00.

The University Collegium will confirm the members elected by the University community at its meeting on 18 December 2013. The new Board will begin serving on 1 January 2014.

The elections for faculty councils and department councils were held at the same time as the election of the Board; the faculties and departments will announce their results.
