BOI 2006 will take place in Heinola, Finland. The web pages of the City of Heinola are available only in Finnish, but you can find maps and other information there. A Google Earth locator for Heinola is here.
Contestants and leaders will be accomodated at Opeko, National Centre for Professional Development in Education. Opeko’s premises are located in the middle of the town Heinola, some 1,5 hours by car from the Helsinki Metropolitan area. The main building was formerly hosted by the Heinola Teacher Education Seminar, which was founded over 100 years ago.Contest, jury meetings and ceremonies will take place at Opeko.
Participants will also have a great opportunity to visit the premises of Heinola Upper Secondary School and Saksala Adventure Center.
