This section contains information about compression and decompression methods for data given by the course staff.

• curve1.dat and ty.txt are single value data generated from a quite noisy source assumed to be from same function
• paleo.csv is a file containing paleontological data which has been obfuscated by name mangling the original latin species names
• caravan.dat is ...
• final.dat contains data and side information assumed to be from a 3-dimensional space
