2. Try (using Gimp) changing the background of an image to be transparent. You can use, e.g., your image of the previous exercise, or the image logo.gif. Experiment also with the image elekit.gif (might be easier).

3. Experiment with Gimp how to convert JPEG images into GIF images, and which effects reducing colours has in the quality and the size of an image. You can use, e.g., the images in the directory http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/group/dime/um/s00/harj/images/.
