Undo -
Reverses the last action performed. For example, if
you insert an element by mistake, the Undo option will be
available with that element's tag shown. |
Redo -
Undoes 'undo', restoring whatever change you just undid. |
Cut -
Removes selected items and copies them to the Windows
clipboard. |
Copy -
Copies selected items to the Windows clipboard, but does
not remove them from their current location in the
document. |
Paste -
Copies items from the clipboard into the selected area of
the document. |
Clear -
Removes selected items but DOES NOT copy them to the
Windows clipboard |
Find... and
Find Again -
Used to search for text in the active window. Find...
is used for the initial search; Find Again
searches for the next occurrence of the text previously
entered in the Find dialog box (Figure B). If no
text has been entered previously in the Find dialog box
and Find Again is selected, the Find
dialog box will open and prompt for the text to be
searched on.

Replace...
and Replace Again -
Used to search and replace text in the active
window. Replace... is used for the
initial search-and-replace; Replace Again
searches and replaces the next occurrence of the text
previously entered in the Replace dialog box (Figure C).
The first time you Replace a search string, XML Instance
will find it and make sure you want to replace it. If you
select Replace Again and no search or
replacement string has been entered, the Replace dialog
box will open and prompt for the text to be
searched-and-replaced.

Preferences...
-
Used to edit initial view settings. In the XML
Instance Preferences dialog box, you can either
enable or disable the display of Markup Icons
and/or Content Hints. These settings
remain in effect from one session to the next until you
change them. If you disable these features, you can
re-enable them from the View menu, and
they will be in effect only for the currently active
document.
