Description:
Cycling day on campuses around town
The public has a chance to visit the campuses around the metropolitan area
while getting some exercise, when the students organise a happening at 12-17
during the national ‘take your bike to work’ day on Tuesday, 8 April. There will
be bicycle-related events, presentations of organisations and their work on
campuses around the metropolitan area. This day is aimed at highlighting
the benefits of cycling and introducing the campuses to the public.
The cycling day is organised in collaboration between World Student Capital
2012 and several student unions in the metropolitan area. World Student
Capital is a design-capital project by the students of the university student
unions and organisations in the metropolitan area, the University of Helsinki,
and the Student Metropolis project of the cities in the area. World Student
Capital is a part of the Helsinki University World Design Capital 2012 year.
