Master's Degree Programme in Bioinformatics MBI is a two-year MSc programme offered jointly by the University of Helsinki and Aalto University School of Science and Technology.

Application periods:

• 15 Nov 2010 - 31 Jan 2011 to the University of Helsinki
• 3 Jan - 28 Feb 2011 to Aalto University

MBI graduates will be able to obtain positions in industrial and academic facilities such as biomedical companies, universities and research institutions. A bioinformatician often acts in a multidisciplinary environment with people from both methodological
sciences, and biosciences and medicine.

You are eligible to apply to the programme if

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in a suitable field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, biosciences). Note that you
    need to complete the BSc degree at latest in July 2011.
• You have studied at least 60 ECTS credits of mathematics, statistics or computer science)
• You are proficient in the English language (see our website for details)
