University of Helsinki comes in 4th in NWERC programming competition

The team from the University of Helsinki, Game of Nolife, reached 4th place in the NWERC programming competition in Linköping on the 28-30 November.  The team included students Otte Heinävaara, Olli Hirviniemi, and Topi Talvitie.

NWERC is a competition where the teams have 5 hours to solve a bunch of advanced algorithm problems. This year, 96 teams from different European universities participated in the competition. The competition was won by team Lambdabamserne from the University of Copenhagen. Other teams from Finland came from Aalto University (55th place) and Lappeenranta University of Technology (85th place).
