University of Helsinki ranked 76th in Times Higher Education ranking

The University of Helsinki climbed to number 76 in the Times Higher Education world university ranking. Last year it was number 103, so it climbed 27 places.

The university improved its results in all five categories:  teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and industry income. The number of publications in relation to academic staff had also improved.

- This result is fine, strong evidence of the quality work carried out by our researchers and instructors. I’m especially glad that we received much better points in both teaching and research reputation than ever before, says Rector Jukka Kola.

In the Times Higher Education ranking, published since 2010, number 76 is by far the best ranking the university has received.
